Washable dust filter is a real bonus at this price point, and the remote controls is handy. I have it in a 13x15 ft family room in the basement which has one forced air heat outlet, but as is typical for below ground level rooms, not enough to keep at normal room temperature when it's below freezing outside.One thing to keep in mind is that the thermostat and auto-fan shutoff only operate when unit is in Eco mode, where it auto-selects between the 1000w and the 1500w heat settings. For most rooms it'll probably stay at 1000w once the temperature setting has been reached, which it does easily in the room where it's located. For the 3 Power Heat modes 900/1000/1500w, heater will run continuously until manually shut off or timer shuts it off. A 15 amp circuit maxes out at 1850 watts capacity, fyi. I recently tried a couple of new heaters, but those did not meet my standards (e.g., one that supposedly had a thermostat that did not automatically regulate the temperature, and the other just stopped in the middle of the night - not impressed). This one is very quiet, heats well, shuts on/off to regulate the temperature as it should (but does not suddenly completely shut down), and has three temperature settings, wide oscillation, and a further fan-only option (for those hot summer nights). And it was substantially cheaper to buy than the other two that were more limited in functionality. Oh, and the manual actually explains what the "Eco" mode does, and this actually seems useful. It was also set up in metric as a bonus. As one minor request, I liked that my old heater constantly provided the current temperature, and I think it would be good if this could do that too...but no biggee.As one temporary concern, I received a card to say I could register for a "5 Years Warranty", but when I signed up, my emailed confirmation said 2.5 years. However, I emailed the company, and within 5 hours I received a pleasant reply from Carol (Hesung), an apology, and confirmation of the 5-year warranty. Carol (Hesung) has subsequently been very pleasant, clear in communication, and responsive to any enquiries.I might be checking out more DREO products!
